2008 Small Business Academy - Surviving during an economic down turn

The Small Business Academy is just for you! The academy is an 8 week program designed to teach skills needed to create, develop and strengthen business individuals into creating a roadmap to survive during this challenging economy...
This year’s theme “Surviving during an economic down turn” will focus on the following business fundamentals:
- Getting back on track and back to “basics”
- Getting a business “tune-up”
- Marketing your business to government and
- Strengthening your business to survive during the changing economic market.
By the end of this program you will walk away with tools you can immediately utilize to allow your business to not only survive but thrive.
SCHEDULE/LOCATION:
- Program begins October 14, 2008 and ends December 9, 2008.
- Classes will be every Tuesday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at:

- Weeks 4 & 5: Business Management
- *November 11th Veterans Day - No Class.
- Weeks 6, 7 : Investing & Protecting your business

- December 12th: Graduation Day!

TUITION:
$150 for Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Members
$300 for Non-Members
The value of entire Academy $2,500. Thanks to the kind partnerships with our small business development partners, the SBSC is able to deliver this program with less hard cost to the attendants. Take advantage of this opportunity!
REIMBURSEMENT: Upon completion of the program participants will receive 50% tuition reimbursement with options to apply funds to 1) Youth Scholarship fund or 2) membership dues.

CRITERIA:
- Business Individual
- Business must be located in the Greater Sacramento area
- Fill out application and submit by October 3, 2008
- Business owner must commit to the full program by signing an attendance agreement that allows for one absence
DISCLOSURES: Tuition is non-refundable upon payment of tuition. Participants must pay tuition 2 weeks prior to the orientation session (1st session) or enrollment will be forfeited.
